Spaces for Dialogue as Sites of Scenic Memory
Professional Reflection on the Dynamics of Experiencing Antisemitism in Counseling, Prevention, Therapy, and Supervision
The DIALOGOS project addresses the fact that dialogue between individuals from different groups has frequently stalled or in fact escalated since October 7, 2023, pushing the professional facilitation of dialogue regarding antisemitism to its limits. The project focuses on how experiences of antisemitism, and reactions to them, manifest in professionally mediated dialogue spaces (safer spaces, prevention, counseling, and therapy). It also examines how self-reflective professional development can help maintain the capacity for dialogue and how to manage unconscious defensiveness as well as conflict within organizational contexts.
