Collaborative projects under the funding guideline “Current Dynamics and Challenges of Anti-Semitism” (2021–2025)
In 2019, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research launched the framework programme “Understanding Society – Shaping the Future” for the humanities and social sciences, allocating 700 million euros to it for the funding period 2019–2025. The aim of the framework programme is to promote social cohesion through the transfer of knowledge from interdisciplinary research, to strengthen the innovative capacity of the humanities and social sciences at an international level, and to safeguard Germany’s cultural heritage in the long term.
In 2020, the call for proposals ‘Current Dynamics and Challenges of Anti-Semitism’ was published, which led to the funding of ten collaborative projects and one meta-project – the Research Network on Anti-Semitism in the 21st Century (FoNA21) – in 2021.
